Internships

Internships at the Press Office of the Federal Environment Agency (minimum duration: six weeks)

The Federal Environment Agency Press Office regularly takes on student interns.  There is unfortunately no possibility of paying a remuneration.  Applications are accepted from students of all academic majors with an interest in media relations in the field of environmental protection.

Internships can only be done when they accompany a course of study. This means you have to be enrolled at a university or a university of applied science in Germany and abroad. Exceptions are possible in some justified cases, for instance internships during the transition from a Bachelor’s to a Master’s programme.

As an intern at the Press Office you will answer enquiries from the press together with our professional staff, coordinate journalists’ interviews with our conservation experts, draft press releases and other, more comprehensive press documents, and prepare and help with the organization of press conferences.

We welcome applications from anyone interested in an internship at least six weeks in duration.  Please submit a written application including a copy of your CV, secondary school diploma, university study credits, and other relevant documents to:

Federal Environment Agency
Z 1 – PE (Frau Linthe)
P.O. Box 1406
06813 Dessau-Roßlau

For further information on requirements and duties, please contact our press officer, Mr. Martin Ittershagen.
